Just because you have short or very short nails doesn’t mean you shouldn’t highlight them. They don’t hinder our lifestyle, are less prone to being broken, and can be really super cute! In this article, the nail supply expert Maryton will give you some tips and tricks to show off your hands.
The round/oval nail
This is the shape to adopt on short nails.
TO DO: File the nails from the edges to the center of the nail with a rounded motion, thus softening the edges.
If you have short nails, or even very short nails, we favor light and glossy colors on the sides to refine and lengthen the nail by optical effect. A nude look for a natural look, It will give your hands a very elegant look. If you have very fair skin, avoid colors that are too light, too childish or too flashy like yellow and dare to use dark colors!
French manicure
The French aka the most famous manicure on the planet (or almost), and for good reason. I promise, beautiful to the tips of your nails! The main thing is to stay natural, with short, well-filed nails. We totally love this manicure, especially if you’re getting married.
TO DO: 1/ Apply a pale pink, cream or even transparent varnish as a base. 2/ We apply a white semi-permanent to the tips of the nails (where the white of our nails stops) using small stickers. 3/ A layer of transparent top coat to protect and enhance your manicure.
Minimalist nail art
For some reason, small designs on short nails look so much cuter.
- A two-tone nail: apply a small white stocker on a colored varnish or a gold line on a midnight blue.
- Focus on geometric shapes:they will give the illusion that your nail is elongated. Fine lines, which cross and uncross… it’s up to you to bring a little poetry!
- Polka dots: opt for a semi-permanent pinkish beige varnish and then we make small black polka dots on each nail.
Hoping that this article has pleased you and will give you ideas! In addition, I also advise you to invest in some professional manicure sets to care for your nails.
